Niki Cesta nominated among Canada’s Clean50 Emerging Leaders

Swim Drink Fish is excited to announce that Niki Cesta has been nominated for Canada’s Clean50 Emerging Leader award. Niki is being recognized for her work as Co-Founder and Executive Director at The Wasteland Plan Foundation (TWP).

“Principally, this coming together of #EmergingLeaders is a celebration of the resiliency which our natural world holds. Congratulations to all of the Clean 50 nominees for their dedication to strengthening our nationwide environmental sustainability and innovation! It is an honour.”  - Niki Cesta, Data Assistant, Swim Drink Fish

Each year, Canada’s Clean50 recognizes Canadian leaders for their leadership and contributions to sustainability. The Emerging Leader award highlights individuals 35 and under who have contributed and made impacts in ways that far exceed their age. Niki and Co-Founder Savannah Stephen of The Wasteland Plan Foundation have been dedicated to curating and delivering sustainable and accessible outdoor experiences since 2018. These experiences guide communities toward deepening their commitment to respect, explore, and restore our natural world. These grassroots actions have helped collect over 17,400 lbs of garbage from beaches, lakes, and river systems across 12 countries.

“As a female eco-preneur, conservationist, and member of the LGBTQ2+ community, I am committed to building an eco-community and creating positive socio-environmental impact through the lens of innovation, equanimity and inclusion. Let’s move with intention as a global collective”.  Niki Cesta, Data Assistant, Swim Drink Fish

Swim Drink Fish has been lucky to have Niki as part of our team as the Swim Guide Data Assistant for the 2022 summer season. We are fortunate to work with such an inspiring individual and cannot wait to see how she continues to positively impact the planet.
