A project to understand how communities connect to nearby, but inaccessible water.

Project Goals

  • To understand how connected people are to bodies of water near their residences but with limited access

  • To understand how to increase that connection and engagement in activities by those bodies of water

  • To understand how connection to nearby water is related to well-being

  • To understand how connection to nearby water related to concerns over water quality and desire for increased access

  • To explore what demographic differences predict differences in connection and access
