We'll be meeting at the beach on the West Island (exact map location here) this site is also known as the TeachBeach.

About this event

Swim Drink Fish and SwimOP are gathering for a shoreline cleanup and swimming celebration at Ontario Place to celebrate that we're more than halfway to summer! Come on out and have some fun at one of the most accessible blue spots in Toronto's downtown core.

We'll be raffling off some sweet Swim Drink Fish merch to folks who dunk or participate in our shoreline cleanup. Our friends at Rally Beer will be providing drinks!

We'll be cleaning up the beach, taking water samples, and going for a #SpringDunk. Swim Drink Fish staff will also be on site to talk about actions we can all take well beyond earth week to support a swimmable drinkable fishable future in the Toronto and the tools we can use to get connected with the water

We'll have spare gloves/buckets/trash bags on hand, but if you have your own gloves, litter pickers or trash bags (old rice bags, wood bags, cement bags, or buckets work really well!) please bring them along if you wish to clean up.

We'll also be collecting trash data for science! If you have a phone and want to contribute data, you can download the Clean Swell app ahead of time. This event is also one of the many Great Lake CleanUp events taking place across the great lake region

If you'd like to swim, remember that the water is still chilly! Be prepared with extra layers to change into, a spare towel and a warm beverage for after you dip, gloves and neoprene booties are also recommended if you have them. There are nearby public toilets you can use to change. Please note that swimming is NOT a requirement for coming to this event!

.. So wat-er-you waiting for!?! RSVP now!

Please note: Ontario Place Corporation is not affiliated with this event and will not be held liable for any injuries, loss or damages of any kind during the event.
