Community Scientist Volunteer

What is community science? According to National Geographic, "Community science is the practice of public participation and collaboration in scientific research to increase scientific knowledge. Through community science, people share and contribute to data monitoring and collection programs." We aim to connect people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, to their local waters, by collecting water quality data, sharing that data for free, online, on our website and Swim Guide, and engaging them in community science practices through volunteer opportunities (below) and pollution reports.
