Great Lakes Guide is coming!

You waited all winter long, and finally, it’s almost here! With spring in the air, you can now start dreaming about summer activities. We have no shortage of remarkable adventure spots in the Great Lakes region, but getting outside is often hindered by the overwhelming process of deciding where to go and what to do.

How can you advance from dreaming to actually doing?

Unless you’re asleep, you can’t dream without knowing what to dream about. The same concept can be applied to exploring the Great Lakes: How do you plan your next adventure without first knowing what’s out there? Well take a deep breath because your trip planning nightmares are almost over!

Later this spring, Swim Drink Fish is launching Great Lakes Guide.

Connecting with the Great Lakes has never been so simple.

Great Lakes Guide will connect you with places near you (beaches, parks, etc.) and the top destinations to explore in the Great Lakes region. It will inspire you to visit new places and show you where to participate in your favourite outdoor activities. Want to know which parks are best for paddling? Looking for hiking trails? Your Great Lakes journey begins here: https://greatlakes.guide

Experience the benefits of Great Lakes living.

We are fortunate to live in an area so accessible to water. From the tiny trickling tributaries to the open waters themselves, the Great Lakes offer endless possibilities to rekindle your relationship with the natural world.

Have you ever noticed how a walk on the beach, a paddling session on the shoreline, or a stroll through the woods makes you feel calm and more centered? These activities are powerful medicine for your emotional, physical, and cognitive well-being. The time you spend outside helps to alleviate pressure from everyday life, to make lasting memories with loved ones, to become more physically active, and to refresh your creativity.

Protect what you love.

Growing the number of people actively participating in outdoor activities will benefit every part of the Great Lakes community and helps ensure a swimmable, drinkable, fishable future. Through Great Lakes Guide, you will be able to easily connect with this ecologically diverse and economically important area. In the near future, you'll be able to favourite and rate places you’ve already been to, bookmark destinations to visit later, and read personal stories about memories others have made in the Great Lakes region.

Adventure is a click away.

Subscribe to Great Lakes Guide and be the first to know more about this exciting new program!
