Sewage Series: A look at sewage impact across Canada
Did you know that from 2013 to 2017, 890 million cubic metres of untreated sewage were released from combined sewer overflows (CSOs) into 844 different waterbodies across Canada? That amount of sewage is the same volume of water that flows over Niagara Falls in 3.7 days, or 88.8 hours.
Few of us are aware that CSOs regularly release staggering amounts of untreated sewage into the same waterbodies that we swim in and get our drinking water from. Swim Drink Fish is working to change that.
Join our webinars to learn about how sewage is impacting our waters and what you can do to help.
