Swim Guide Affiliates
Swim Guide shows you beach descriptions, photos, and water quality results for more than 8,000 beaches around the world.
It’s a convenient free app that helps you find a place to connect with the water … but have you ever wondered where all that data comes from? Swim Guide data comes from our affiliates.
Swim Guide affiliates input thousands of beach water quality results every day
The affiliates program is free to join
Swim Guide’s data comes from our affiliates. There are 100 organizations contributing data to Swim Guide. You could be one of them.
More than 90 of the Swim Guide affiliates operate monitoring programs, and most Swim Guide affiliates are testing water quality themselves. 87 of our affiliates are nonprofit organizations, and 5 are government organizations.
Swim Guide provides a free app affiliates can use to share their testing results with the public. Once your beaches are in the system, it takes only a few minutes to update the pass/fail results so users can see them.
Swim Guide even created a data sharing standard so affiliates can publish their test results to Swim Guide automatically.
Your beach data reaches millions of people … instantly
Your beach information is instantly shared with 4-million users, including people in your community. They’ll know about the important work you do to protect water and public health because they’ll see your name on all the beaches you manage in Swim Guide.
Leverage your connection to Swim Guide to raise funds and strengthen your program
Affiliates can use the banner spaces on their beach pages to recognize sponsors and supporters. Any funding affiliates raise to support their work goes directly to them.
Affiliates also receive a monthly newsletter with information about new Swim Guide features and recreational water quality science. Webinars and training sessions about water monitoring, the Swim Guide platform, and sponsorship are offered year-round.
Swim Guide’s affiliates program is free to join.

The affiliates program isn’t just for water quality monitors
If you don’t collect samples yourself but you have access to sharable sample results, affiliates can also input those into Swim Guide. Swim Drink Fish does this in regions where government monitoring programs are already testing the water.
If you would like to become a local affiliate in one of the regions Swim Drink Fish manages, please let us know:
If you know of a region where open data results are available, Swim Guide may also be able to receive that data automatically.
