Tonight could be the last game in the Great Lakes World Series. The last time two Great Lakes teams played each other at the World Series was in 1945. Environmental Commissioner reports: It’s time for Toronto to notify the public of sewage discharges
Earlier this week, the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario released her annual report and agreed with Waterkeeper and the MOECC: The City of Toronto should give the public immediate notifications when sewage is released into waterways. Sewage treatment plant struggles: Protect your lake with each flush
Wipes are one of the most common non-flushable items found clogging pipes and causing damage to wastewater systems. Waterkeeper took a closer look at the wipes-situation and met with the CIty of London's wastewater expert, Barry Orr.

Reviewing Lake Ontario’s ailing radioactive wounds in Port Hope: PHAI and Cameco’s Conversion Facility
Waterkeeper submitted comments on the Port Hope Area Initiative (PHAI) and Cameco’s Port Hope Conversion Facility (PHCF) to the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC). Waterkeeper will participate in the public hearing for both projects next month in Port Hope. While some progress has been made to ensure the initiative supports a more swimmable, drinkable, and fishable Lake Ontario, more work is still needed.
