Proposed changes to Canada's environmental legislation

 

Today, the Canadian federal government proposed significant environmental legislation overhauls. The proposed changes must be passed by Parliament before coming into effect.

 

Four areas included in the proposal are:

1. Canadian Environmental Assessment Act

2. National Energy Board

3. Fisheries Act

4. Navigation Protection Act
