In her role as Water Stewardship Specialist, Elise leads the Toronto Community Monitoring Hub and trains citizen scientists to sample water quality across Toronto’s waterfront. Elise also advises communities on achieving Blue Flag certification, including the City of Toronto, as part of Blue Flag Canada (Swim Drink Fish’s newest initiative).

Mark is Checking In with Swim Drink Fish Ambassador Tim Thompson about living with social distancing. Tim Thompson is a filmmaker best known for his thought-provoking music montages that opened Hockey Night In Canada and the Olympic Games on the CBC. The former professional hockey player and self-taught artist has also made an array of documentaries, music videos, and short films. Tim Thompson has made three pieces for Swim Drink Fish, bringing the sentiment of his work to help in the fight for clean water.

Mark is Checking In with Swim Drink Fish Ambassador Madhu Nagaraja about living with social distancing. Madhu Nagaraja is a technology leader, entrepreneur, and adventurer. He is an experienced corporate leader and marathon swimmer who has taken on some of the greatest open water challenges in the world, including the English Channel, Lake Ontario, and the ice mile. In 2017, Madhu became the first Canadian and first Indian to swim the Straits of Magellan. He and Loren King are the founding members of Great Lakes Open Water (GLOW).

Mark is Checking In with Swim Drink Fish Ambassador Loren King about living with social distancing. Loren King is a professor and marathon swimmer. He holds a doctorate from M.I.T. and teaches at Wilfrid Laurier University. In August 2016 he swam across Lake Ontario following the classic Marilyn Bell route, and in August 2019 he successfully swam across the English Channel. He and Madhu Nagaraja are the founding members of the Great Lakes Trust, and Great Lakes Open Water (GLOW).
